Explore the famous beauty spots and lesser known treasures of the Dorset Coast in your motorhome, camper van or touring caravan. Our Abbeyfield Touring pitches, suitable for vehicles up to 9m in length, are a great base to spend time discovering what the local area has to offer. Enjoy a pitch hedged on three sides for privacy, with a gravel hardstanding, electric hook-up and water. You will be sleeping mere minutes from the sea, with unrivalled access to Durdle Door Beach and Man O’ War Bay.

You are very welcome to bring a drive away awning, please select this option at the point of booking. Please note that no gazebos or tents are allowed on these pitches. A dog-friendly bar & restaurant and beaches mean you don’t have to worry about leaving your furry friend behind!

The hook-up servicing your pitch could be located on either side of the pitch, and some of our pitches may need a longer hose and extension lead to reach the hook-up point. We recommend an EHU lead that is at least 15 metres long. You should bring chocks or levellers with you due to the slope of the pitches. Please bring an attachment to fit onto the tap, as these are not provided, but can be purchased at reception.

A beautifully varied landscape, including some woodland areas, mean that some of our Abbeyfield Pitches are situated under the trees of nesting Rooks and their young. The nesting season for our rooks is between spring and early summer, and during this time they do make a considerable amount of noise which may wake you up in the morning – they may also leave some unwanted gifts on your vehicle! Though the noise doesn’t affect all of our guests, you may wish to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Find out more about our resident rooks.

Elsewhere on the park, you will have access to grey waste disposal, chemical disposal and additional water points. The toilet & shower block are a few moments’ walk from the Abbeyfield Pitches.

We endeavour to take your requirements into account when allocating the Abbeyfield pitches. We recommend that you let us know at the time of booking if you are bringing an awning or have any special requirements for your holiday so that we have the opportunity to allocate you the most suitable pitch wherever possible. Please get in contact with our helpful Customer Care Team, who can answer any questions you may have before booking.

Unfortunately, we do not allow tents on our touring pitches. If you are interested in booking a pitch for a tent, check out our Rookery Camping Pitches.

We have a variety of facilities and amenities available for you and your fellow campers and tourers to use on the park, including our shower & toilet block with baby changing facilities, water points, and a dishwashing area with shared fridge-freezer, and USB charging points available for your use. Our on site Shop provides all the essentials you may need (or that you forgot to pack!) and the Man O’ War Bar & Restaurant is less than a 3 minute walk from the Abbeyfield Pitches, giving you tasty dining options without the need for travel. If you’re bringing the children along, they’ll love our adventure play parks!

Ask us about our Accessible facilities: our toilet & shower block has a private Accessible Wet room facility, requiring a radar key to gain access. Our friendly Customer Care Team are available to answer any queries you may have by phone or email, or you can visit our Accessibility page for more information on the general park.

We welcome the use of BBQs in the Abbeyfield Touring area – but ask you to think of the stunning local environment, and only bring a reusable one. We do not permit disposable BBQs anywhere on the park. All BBQs must be raised off of the ground, and should only be burned using coal or gas; we do not allow any camp fires on the park.

Included in the price is one touring pitch for a single vehicle sleeping up to 6 people. Additional cars can be added to your booking as an extra, but it may not be possible to park these on the pitch. Prices vary depending on the time of year that you wish to visit.

We accept roof-tents and trailer-tents on the Abbeyfield Touring Pitches. For roof-tents, please select the campervan option when booking. All campervans/van conversions must have at the very minimum a fixed bed/rock & roll bed and built in storage cupboards. Please give us a call if you are unsure how to book online. Please note we do not accept sign written vehicles, as well as converted buses, horseboxes and trucks on any of our Touring Pitches.

Please note there is no Wi-Fi available in this area. Free Wi-Fi is available for use in the Bar & Restaurant.
